Learn about African barbershop paintings in an interactive workshop attempting a comparative study on the differences in African painting techniques and how images are perceived, regenerated and represented.
We will also Investigate the techniques of commercial sign paintings in Africa in the last century and its possible connection to the ancient Ethiopian church paintings.
Cardboard and painting supplies will be provided by Oseana. We have an assortments of tools (brushes, etc) available at the workshop, but also advise you to bring your own favourite tools and supplies.
